Dr. Arons is the Director of Research of the Melody Arons Center for Applied Preschool Research and Education. All of the funds obtained from Dr. Arons' SAS tutoring funds go to support the activities of the Melody Arons Center for Applied Preschool Research and Education

The Center is a nonprofit organization serving the 0-5 population of at-risk and developmentally disabled infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their families.

Its purpose is to bring together a multidisciplinary group of professionals and caregivers with a creative commitment to early intervention, diagnosis, treatment, education, and enrichment of young children and their families.

It links parents as partners with professionals who emphasize a multiracial, multicultural, multiethnic sharing, empowerment, advocacy and responsibility. The Center seeks to carefully explore integration and application of neuroscience with the educational and developmental principles of human development.

It seeks, finds and forms teams of educators, clinicians, scientists and parents who work together to establish early detection, prevention and intervention models that can be replicated across settings, cultures and socioeconomic groups. MAC receives no federal or state funding. Donations are tax deductable.

The Melody Arons Center, MAC, is a living memorial and tribute to the life of Melody Arons. Daughter of Raymond and Marilyn Arons, Melody died in 1997 before she had the opportunity to have children of her own. The organization is based in her home, now converted into an early intervention and research center. Her parents chose to focus on the goal of prevention and early intervention for all of the young children who will be products of Melody’s legacy at MAC - a brighter future with less risk of disability.
